Adani Group-owned Ambuja Cements Limited, part of the diversified Adani Portfolio, has announced a significant investment in Bihar. On August 3, the company revealed plans to set up a standalone cement grinding unit, marking the largest investment in the state by a cement industry player.

‘The project will meet the growing infrastructure needs of Bihar, aligning with priorities outlined in the recent Union Budget,’ Ambuja Cements said in a statement.

Project Details

Location and Capacity

The Warisaliganj Cement grinding unit will be located in Mosama village, Tehsil Warisaliganj, District Nawada, Bihar. This facility will have an overall capacity of 6 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) and will be established at an investment of nearly Rs. 1,600 crore.

Phased Implementation

The project will be implemented in three phases. The first phase will have a capacity of 2.4 MTPA and will require an investment of Rs. 1,100 crore. This phase is targeted to be commissioned by December 2025. The company has also made adequate provisions for future expansion, which will be executed at a much lower capital expenditure.

Strategic Connectivity

The site is strategically located, with good connectivity by road and rail. It is just 1 km away from Warisaliganj railway station and 500 meters from SH-83, ensuring efficient transportation and logistics.

Ambuja Cements highlighted that the project will cater to the growing infrastructure needs of Bihar. This aligns with the priorities outlined in the recent Union Budget, emphasizing the importance of such investments in driving regional development and economic growth.

अंबुजा सीमेंट्स ने एक बयान में कहा, “यह परियोजना बिहार की बढ़ती बुनियादी संरचना संबंधी जरूरतों को पूरा करेगी, जो हाल के केंद्रीय बजट में उल्लिखित प्राथमिकताओं के अनुरूप होगी।”

स्थान और क्षमता

वारिसलीगंज सीमेंट ग्राइंडिंग इकाई मोसामा गांव, तहसील वारिसलीगंज, जिला नवादा, बिहार में स्थित होगी। इस सुविधा की कुल क्षमता 6 मिलियन टन प्रति वर्ष (MTPA) होगी और इसे लगभग 1,600 करोड़ रुपये के निवेश से स्थापित किया जाएगा।

चरणबद्ध कार्यान्वयन

परियोजना को तीन चरणों में क्रियान्वित किया जाएगा। पहले चरण की क्षमता 2.4 MTPA होगी और इसके लिए 1,100 करोड़ रुपये के निवेश की आवश्यकता होगी। इस चरण को दिसंबर 2025 तक चालू करने का लक्ष्य रखा गया है। कंपनी ने भविष्य के विस्तार के लिए भी पर्याप्त प्रावधान किए हैं, जिसे बहुत कम पूंजीगत व्यय पर क्रियान्वित किया जाएगा।

यह साइट रणनीतिक रूप से स्थित है, जहाँ सड़क और रेल द्वारा अच्छी कनेक्टिविटी है। यह वारिसलीगंज रेलवे स्टेशन से सिर्फ़ 1 किमी दूर है और SH-83 से 500 मीटर की दूरी पर है, जिससे कुशल परिवहन और रसद सुनिश्चित होती है।
